The Eight Measures for Deepening Reform of the Science and Technology

Innovation Board and Serving the Development of Technological Innovation and

New Quality Productivity of China Securities Regulatory Commission (2024/6/19)

China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) issued the Eight Measures for

Deepening Reform of the Science and Technology Innovation Board and Serving the

Development of Technological Innovation and New Quality Productivity (the Eight

Measures) on June 19. The Eight Measures aim to further deepening reforms, enhance

inclusiveness towards new industries, new formats, and new technologies, and to

leverage the functions of the capital market to better serve the overall goal of the

Chinese path of modernization.

The Eight Measures focus on strengthening supervision to prevent risks and

promoting high-quality development, adhering to the principles of prioritizing

stability while pursuing progress, taking comprehensive measures, goal orientation,

problem orientation, respecting the rules, and upholding fundamental principles and

breaking new ground. The Eight Measures aim to promote the sustained and healthy
development of the Science and Technology Innovation Board on a market-oriented

and law-based track. The specific measures include: improving trading mechanisms to

prevent market risks, enhancing trading supervision, researching and optimizing

market making mechanisms and post-trading mechanisms on the Science and

Technology Innovation Board, and enriching Science and Technology Innovation

Board indices, ETF products, and ETF options products.
